MECHANICS
1.The competition is open to all shoppers who purchase items in Metro Department Store and Supermarket.
2.To qualify, present the shopping receipts with a minimum of P1, 000.00 purchase to the Xtreme Magic Sing Promo Representative assigned per branch at the Metro Appliance Department for the verification of purchase and issuance of the Registration Forms. Xtreme Magic Sing Promo Representative indicates the shopping receipt number /name of registered shopper at the Official Contest Registration Form prior to release.
3.Employees of Metro Gaisano and Xtreme Magic Sing and those of its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity, are not qualified to join this promotion.
4.Each qualified shopper can join; male/ female, ages 12 to 35 years old that do not have professional career in singing neither have existing or previous recording contract with any talent management outfit.
5.Contestant should perform song and dance to accompany the song.
6.Contestant may choose “Up Beat songs” from the list of songs to be provided by Xtreme Magic Sing. We will strictly use Xtreme Magic Sing from Audition up to Grand Finals.
7.Contestant may check our website www.magicsing.com.ph prior to the contest to check the availability of their chosen song.
8.Xtreme Magic Sing promodizer will provide the “Song book” where they choose their song. The chosen song must be submitted to the promodizer assigned during the audition, semis and Grand finals.
9.Contestant must wear costume or formal attire to accompany their performance during the Audition, Semi Final and Grand Finals.
10.Contestant will be given a maximum of 5 minutes performance using the Xtreme Magic Sing. One point (1) will be deducted from the total score for every minute or fraction thereof in excess of the time allotted during the Audition, Semi Finals and Grand Finals.
11.For the Audition: Contestant may choose the time and date of their audition and must submit the list of requirements.
12.For the Semi Finals contestant must be present at least one (1) hour before the competition. Late Contestants will be disqualified.
13.The following requirements listed below must be submitted on the Registration Day.
• Photocopy of Birth Certificate
• 2 pcs. 2”x2” ID colored picture
• Duly Accomplished Registration Form
• Parental Consent (For Contestants below 18 years old)
• Long , Brown envelop
14.The Contest Criteria for Judging (Audition, Semi Final Contest and Grand Final) are as follows;
• 40% Musical Rendition: Range/Ladder, Falsetto, Shifting, Roughness/Grudge. Staying tuned.
• 20% Showmanship: Stage dominance/fright, movement, expression, feelings, and attitude.
• 20% Creativity and originality: Arrangement of song and Creativity of Dance choreography while singing.
• 20% Audience impact: How the audience is affected by whatever you are doing, their reaction to the show etc., how it made them feel, that a reaction to what they have heard or seen.

15.AUDITION ROUND: Representative from Xtreme Magic Sing will seat as Judge during the Audition Round. It will be conducted on the following venues and dates stated below;
• August 20– 30, 2013 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Metro Appliance Department of each Metro store location (Ayala, Colon, MandXtreme Magic Sing and Metro Gaisano will get a maximum of ten (10) contestants per branch during the Audition round that will compete during the Semi-Final round.
16.SEMI FINALS PER BRANCH: Representative from Xtreme Magic Sing and Metro will seat as Judge(s) during the Semi Finals. It will be conducted on the following venues and dates stated below;
• September 8, 2013 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Metro Appliance Department of each Metro Store (Mandaue and Legazpi)
• September 22, 2013 from 4:00pm- 6:00pm at Metro Appliance Department of each Metro Store (Ayala, Colon and Market Market)
17.Semi Final winners will receive the following prizes;
• 1st Prize: MVK
• 2nd Prize: Gift pack from Xtreme Magic Sing.
• Non Winners will receive freebies from Xtreme Magic Sing
18.Two (2) Winners per BRANCH will be chosen to compete in the GRAND FINALS.
19.GRAND FINAL SHOWDOWN: Competition will be held on Sept. 29, 2013, 4PM at the Metro Mandaue and Pacific Mall Activity Center.
20.All finalists from Ayala, Colon, Mandaue, Legazpi and Market Market will perform via pre-recorded VIDEO PRESENTATION which will be played by Xtreme Magic Sing Representative.
21.Representative from Xtreme Magic Sing, Metro Department Store and Representative from music industry will seat as Judge(s) during the Grand Finals.
22.The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable with the concurrence of the dti.
23.Tiebreaker Procedure: In the event of a tie for any place, the Contestant with the highest Judges’ score in the “musical rendition” criteria will take the higher place. If a tie still remains, then the Contestant with the highest Judges’ score in the “Showmanship” criteria will take the higher place. If a tie still remains, then the Contestant with the highest Judges’ score in the “Creativity and originality” criteria will take the higher place. If a tie still remains, then the Contestant with the highest Judges’ score in the “Audience Impact” criteria will take the higher place. If a tie still remains, a majority vote of the Judges will determine which Contestant will take the higher place. The final decision in the event of a tie will be made by Judge(s). Decisions of Sponsor(s) and the Judges will be final and binding on all matters.
24.Winners during the grand finals will receive the following Xtreme Magic Sing Videoke Microphone
• 1st Prize: Diamond
• 2nd Price: Karat 2
• 3rd Prize: Karat 2012
• Non winners during the grand finals will receive Freebies from Xtreme Magic Sing.
25.Awarding of Prizes;
• For Semi Finals: Prizes will be awarded right after the competition of each branch.
• For the Grand Finals: If the winner will be coming from Cebu it will be awarded right after the competition. In case of winner will be coming outside Cebu, the following are the mechanics to claim the prize.
